#FreddieChallenge Determines How Much You Sing Like Freddie Mercury

Freddie Mercury is without doubtedly one of the great pop singers of all time, so when an email asks if you can sing as well as the late Queen frontman, the answer seems obvious.

Queen, with the help of YouTube Music, launched a new site that helps analyze your singing voice's timbre, pitch, and melody to determine how much you can sing like Mercury.

Using the FreddieMeter, it shows how closely your voice matches Freddie Mercury's.

Singers can pick their favourite Freddie Mercury-led song from four killer Queen tunes: "We Are the Champions, ' 'Somebody to Love, ' 'Don't Stop Me Now" and, of course, 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.

The challenge is also support The Mercury Phoenix Trust, "a charity founded by Brian May, Roger Taylor, and their manager Jim Beach in memory of Freddie Mercury, who died in 1991 from AIDS-related causes." .

In the last 27 years, the Trust has funded over 1,000 projects across 56 countries in the global battle against HIV/AIDS, giving away over $17 million. Its was 1975 in Liverpool of all places!

You can head here to try it out or watch a recording below. The company claims that no data is uploaded while trying to use this took and all vocals stay totally private unless shared by the user. The milestone coincided with the release of the remastered HD version of the video.

In commemoration of Queen's signature song "Bohemian Rhapsody" amassing over a billion views on YouTube earlier this year, the #FreddieChallenge is created to prove Queen fans' singing prowess in a way that has never really been done before.
