A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 4 p.m. this afternoon to 8 a.m. Tuesday. Areas inland are still expected to see a little more accumulation than those near the lake.

"We're not expecting many impacts down there", said National Weather Service at State College meteorologist Michael Colbert.

Tonight: Cloudy. Light rain changes over to snow late.

Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Lake and Geauga counties are all under a winter storm warning until Wednesday morning.

Forecasters with the National Weather Service say that travel will likely become very hard during the afternoon commute, and overnight hours.

As of Monday morning, Winter Weather Advisories from the National Weather Service were scheduled to take effect late Monday in the counties shown in blue here.

Snow showers and flurries will be noted into Tuesday on a strong northwesterly flow off Lake Michigan.

This will also make for treacherous travel throughout the Southern Tier. The NWS says snow will arrive Monday night and near-record or record cold temperatures will settle in for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Roads will be slick during the morning and evening commutes. Temperatures dropping into the 20s will cause freezing spray.

Clouds will continue to increase this evening ahead of the cold front.

Cleveland.com will have updates on accidents and forecasts early tomorrow morning and throughout the day.
