Britain's opposition Labour Party narrowed the margin by which it trails Prime Minister Boris Johnson's Conservative Party by 4 percentage points, according to a poll conducted by Opinium for the Observer newspaper.

The Conservatives held steady on 39 per cent while the Labour Party lost 1 percentage point of support, dropping to 26 per cent, polling company YouGov said. The Liberal Democrats remained in third place, gaining 2 percentage points to 17%.

Polling company BMG surveyed 1,504 British adults between November 5 and November 8.
