The legendary receiver has accepted an invite to be a part of the inaugural XFL Draft, which takes place on October 15, the league announced on Friday.

ProFootballTalk.com, citing a memo sent by the league to player agents, reported Friday that average salaries for the 2020 season will come out to $55,000.

Players who are drafted and retained by teams will receive a base salary for the duration of the season and receive bonuses for being active on game days and being on the winning team.

The XFL draft has five player pools with hundreds of eligible players.

Minimum salaries in the National Football League, meanwhile, are $495,000 a season.

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon rebooted the XFL after a previous incarnation of the springtime football league folded in 2001. The short-lived Alliance of American Football, which collapsed earlier this year after less than one season of play due to financial difficulties, signed all of its players to three-year, $250,000 contracts, but almost missed payroll on at least one occasion. It will feature 90 seconds between picks and will populate eight teams with 71 players apiece.
