The 2019 WWE Draft kicks off this Friday night on SmackDown live from Las Vegas, where two stars with a years-long connection are set to square off in representation of their brands.

WWE official reportedly consulted with both FOX and U.S. to make sure each side was happy with the Superstars that they ended up with, according to PWInsider. Black will be eligible for selection on Monday, but Wyatt ended up going to SmackDown last night.

As we've noted, WWE plans to keep the rosters separate as much as possible after the Draft wraps on Monday's RAW from Denver.

The first match for Monday's episode of WWE Raw has been announced and it's a big one.

For months now FOX and WWE have been hyping up SmackDown's move to Friday nights on FOX and last week the show finally joined the network. Rather than warring authority figures trying to outdo one another, WWE had Stephanie McMahon reveal which wrestlers FOX and the USA Network wanted.

Any undrafted Superstars will immediately be declared free agents and able to sign with the brand of their choosing.

Wrestling Observer Radio's Dave Meltzer also shed some light on what to expect, including how the whole thing will be created to resemble a real sports draft. For several years, we have seen some wonderful draft picks take place which saw popular wrestlers like John Cena shift from one brand to another and become the marquee face for the particular show.

Considering WWE's adherence to the 3:2 ratio of superstars between the two brands, I fully expect Raw to end up with the first pick.
