'Castle Rock' Season 2 Teaser: 'Misery' Is On The Way

Annie is apparently on the run from the Federal Bureau of Investigation after committing a murder, and when she winds up in Castle Rock with daughter Joy (Eighth Grade's Elsie Fisher), even more freakish and horrifying events go down.

Misery is coming to Castle Rock!

"Did you do something, mom?" Caplan takes on the role of the ankle-smashing nurse played by Oscar victor Kathy Bates in the movie Misery, while Elsie Fisher plays Wilkes' teenage daughter, Joy, who's starting to realize not all is well with her mother.

Are you excited to check out Castle Rock Season 2 on Hulu in October?

Hulu posted a trailer for Season 2 of the series, which is titled Misery, and it gives us a taste of Wilkes, a character who also appeared in Stephen King's horror novel Misery. The first few scenes of the trailer show her getting into a vehicle accident, which is amusing considering it was a auto accident that placed Paul in Annie's clutches during the events told in Misery. Robbins, meanwhile, plays Reginald "Pop" Merrill, the ailing boss of the crime family often featured in King's stories set in and around Castle Rock.

Rounding out the main cast are Yusra Warsama as Dr. Nadia Omar, a medical director in Jerusalem's Lot of Somali descent, and Barkhad Abdi as Nadia's older brother Abdi Omar, who's working to build a Somali community center. Castle Rock premieres Wednesday, Oct. 23, only on Hulu.
