Ranu Mandol’s debut Bollywood song “Teri Meri Kahani” was launched in Mumbai on Wednesday

After the launch of the song Teri Meri Kahani from the movie, Ranu talked about the experience of recording a song for the first time, and told the tabloid, "When I wore the headphones for the first time, it made me even more confident". Since then, she has surprised netizens and even impressed singer-composer-actor Himesh Reshammiya who gave her an opportunity to sing in his upcoming film Happy Hardy And Heer.

Internet sensation and singer Ranu Mondal has reacted to reports that she was abandoned by her daughter Elizabeth Sathi Roy and expressed hopes to unite with her again. I used to listen to songs of Rafi, Mukesh, Kishore Kumar, Lata ji, Kumar Sanu and Sonu Nigam.

There is a difference between being inspired by a singer and copying that person's work, Reshammiya said. When I started high pitch singing, people called it nasal singing but somewhere global singing was always nasal, which is now common. "But if you look at the worldwide scene, it has become a common trait".

Himesh and Ranu together crooned the songs Teri Meri Kahani, Aadat and reprised version of Aashiqui Mein Teri. Himesh Reshammiya was so impressed by Ranu Mondal's voice after the video of her rendition of "Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai" went viral on social media.

The video has paved the way for her phenomenal rise from a street singer to a debutante playback singer in Bollywood.

"She has been inspired by Lata ji but no one can become a legend like her". They have given me enormous love and I got a chance to sing. Himesh ji gave me this big chance, relying exclusively on my voice. "Ranuji's singing was so mesmerising that I had to give her this platform". "I feel she told Ranu ji that it's good to get inspired but you shouldn't copy anyone's voice and I don't feel that Ranu ji has copied anyone's voice".

Meanwhile, Himesh Reshammiya starrer Happy Hardy and Heer will have him in the lead role along with actress Sonia Mann as the female lead. Happy, who travels to Europe from Punjab with his lady love Heer, and Harshvardhan Bhatt a.k.a Hardy, a rich Gujarati businessman who completes the love triangle.
