The latest content drop comes in the form of a two-and-a-half minute trailer Square Enix released at Tokyo Game Show, and this is easily one of the game's most substantial trailers yet.

You can watch the brand new Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailer below.

When gamers who were fans of the original Final Fantasy 7 heard that Square Enix would be remaking the game, there was a lot of excitement. It clearly says "New Trailer" atop the timer, so we can presumably expect one of those to go live once the timer hits zero.

The trailer appears to focus on introducing some of the characters for the game.

So, it's possible that nefarious characters such as Rufus and the Turks will feature during TGS 2019. When news of the Remake broke, fans wondered if numerous original game's more weird elements would make it into this new version of the game. Fans have been clamoring for a remake since the mid-2000s but various reasons were given over the years as to why it wasn't happening. There's also another sighting of those ghost-like things we first saw at E3 2019. Check out our Final Fantasy 7 Remake wiki for IGN's full coverage.

Final Fantasy VII Remake launches exclusively for PlayStation 4 on March 3, 2020.
