It's obvious what's happening here.

Clearly, Mayock and the Raiders didn't take kindly to the public attack which apparently led to the confrontation between AB and Mayock.

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks the Oakland Raiders need to cut ties with diva wide receiver Antonio Brown, as Thursday brought another wave of unbelievable breaking news stories that has made Brown's brief time with the Raiders one of the most laughably cringeworthy tenures in the history of sports. Brown had to be held back by some of his teammates during the exchange, according to The Athletic. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport provided further details, claiming Brown said: "I'll hit you in the face" to Mayock, punted a nearby ball away, and added: "fine me for that".

The pass-catcher was fined $13,950 for missing Oakland's walk-through on August 22 and $40,000 for missing a training-camp practice on August 18. "Everyone got to pay this year so we clear", Brown wrote.

This is the latest in a series of incidents for the Pro Bowler, who was acquired in the winter from the Pittsburgh Steelers and signed to a three-year extension worth over $50 million.

The Raiders plan to suspend Brown, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Should the Raiders suspend Brown for conduct detrimental to the team, they could make a case that the guarantees in his contract should be voided.

Since joining Oakland, Brown has dealt with frostbitten feet stemming from a cryotherapy chamber mishap and had a public fight with the National Football League over his desire to wear his old helmet, which is now banned.
