"So, when I have complete information is when I think I can give an opinion".

In the same interview, Sonam said: "I am half Sindhi and half Peshawari". I believe in having peaceful discourse and understanding what's going on.

However, "The Zoya Factor" actor didn't take it calmly as she bashed the trolls on Twitter. Twisting, misinterpreting and understanding what you want from what someone has to say isn't a reflection on the person who says it but on you.

However, in another tweet, Sonam Kapoor clarified the story behind her name with a news report that says Sonam stands for good luck and that her parents zeroed in on the name as they considered her to be a lucky charm to the family. "So self reflect and see who you are and hopefully get a job".

The actor spoke about how her parents had been to Kashmir and made a decision to name her there. "It's heartbreaking to see part of my culture is something that I can't explore as well because of that", she added. "I think our countries were one country like 70 years ago and the fact that there is so much divisive politics at play is really heart-breaking". She claimed that despite not showing Pakistan in a negative light, her film Neerja was banned in the country.

Sonam Kapoor's interview clip was flooded with comments calling the actress confused and criticising her for a Pakistani connect. This has led to an outburst from Twitter trolls, who were brisk to criticize Sonam regarding playing it safe about Pakistan and she was asked by trolls to move to Pakistan.

Many slammed the actor for speaking on the issue despite accepting that she has little knowledge about it. Whereas another one said, "How much one can talk when they themselves are admitting that they do not know the facts and history behind it?!".
