YouTube announced that Originals will soon be accessible to everyone, including non-paying users. We say this because folks have grown to depend on YouTube as an income source and there's nothing worse than finding out you aren't getting paid because you accidentally had Despacito playing in your vlog. Beforehand, the viewers had to become a premium member so that they could see the web series. Moreover, the premium members will not have to go through ads while watching YouTube originals.

"This next phase of our originals strategy will expand the audience of our YouTube Original creators, and provide advertisers with incredible content that reaches the YouTube generation".

YouTube Original series, movies, and events will be available for free from September 24, 2019.

According to Engadget, the company also recently released new features to YouTube Premium, including a section for recommended programs and the automatic download of up to 500 songs from Liked Songs and playlists. If a music clip is caught by YouTube's Content ID system, which scans videos for infringing material, then rights holders will still be able to make money off the video, regardless of how brief or unintentional, the music is. Every week we have a live Cord Cutting Q&A, and weekly Cord Cutting recap shows exclusively on our YouTube Channel! At the time, the company said that the change would apply to future releases, indicating that existing originals will be restricted to YouTube Premium subscribers. Instead, they can choose to prevent the other party from monetizing the video or they can block the content. Pilots for Dark Cargo and It's a Man's World will also not be pushing through.
