The Orioles stopped a five-game losing streak with the win and ended Houston's seven-game winning streak. The Astros are 77-40 on the season, 34-25 on the road and 62-50 with the under. He is 15-4 on the season with a 2.68 ERA.

Sanchez (5-14) gave up one run on three hits in five innings.

With runners on first and second, Michael Brantley hit a rope into the right field corner and it turned into a three-run, go-ahead "Little League home run" thanks to an astonishing throwing error from O's right fielder Anthony Santander. He finished the game with four runs and seven RBI. Jose Altuve, Carlos Correa and Alex Bregman also went long and combined for eight RBI.

"It was a fun way to win a game, a fun way to get out of the homestand", said Jace Peterson, who had three hits and two RBIs.

Asher Wojciechowski started for Baltimore and threw six solid innings. The veteran right-hander struck out 11 - the fifth straight game where he's fanned at least 10. The Orioles are now 38-78 on the season, 17-43 at home and 58-50 with the over.

Baltimore will have a doubleheader on Monday in NY against the Yankees, so manager Brandon Hyde is hoping for a long game from Wojciechowski on Sunday. He is 2-5 on the year with a 4.89 ERA. Aaron Brooks got things started by allowing nine runs over three innings to fall to 2-6 on the year.

Yuli Gurriel pitched in with an RBI double in the fifth inning and George Springer made it 13-1 with his two-run double, also in the fifth. The Orioles have scored just four runs in the first two games, one of which came on a pinch-hit homer from recently called-up Rio Ruiz in the seventh inning on Saturday. The Orioles will try to cut that down Sunday before heading to face the Yankees on Monday - a team that hit 16 in three games against the Orioles earlier in this homestand.

For the Sunday game, the Astros will send out Justin Verlander in the start.

"Very unusual for him to go five innings and be out of the game, but they worked him tough", Astros manager AJ Hinch said.
