Newcomer Dora And The Lost City Of Gold, from Paramount Pictures, found a healthy audience too, earning an estimated $17 million for fourth place.

Starring Isabela Moner as the teen explorer, Dora is based on the popular television series. The pet owner tearjerker "The Art of Racing in the Rain", with Milo Ventimiglia, opened in sixth place with $8.1 million.

"The Kitchen" also flopped with only $5.5 million, coming in at seventh place and it seems like critics agreed. The film has a score of 20% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Overall box office is down 6.3 percent year-to-date, according to Comscore. "There was so much overlap with all of these titles". Where available, the latest global numbers for Friday through Sunday are also included.
