And Veronica Mars fans got quite the thrill during Friday's panel for the revival.

Originally, Veronica Mars was supposed to premiere on July 26. For reasons that remain unclear, the company chose to release the entire fourth season of Veronica Mars at once, making it possible to binge-watch.

The announcement was made at today's Veronica Mars San Diego Comic-Con 2019 panel in San Diego.

'I want it on the internet right now for my birthday, Hulu, ' Bell said ahead of her 39th birthday, which is Thursday.

The new date means many fans will have an excuse to stay indoors during this weekend's record heat wave and dive into the show, which sees Bell return as the titular spunky private investigator alongside original stars Enrico Colantoni, Jason Dohring, Percy Daggs III, Francis Capra, Max Greenfield, Ken Marino, and Ryan Hansen. The new series deals with Veronica at the crossroads of life debating marriage, babies, career and freedom. Veronica Mars has been the little engine that could, using its cult following to propel it to three seasons, a movie, and now a fourth season. Thomas will also pen the first episode.

The show following a teen sleuth aired from 2004 to 2007, and chronicled Veronica's adventures in the fictional beach town of Neptune, California. But what we didn't know was how the series would explain her absence, given that the 2014 film ended with Mac quitting her job at Kane Software to work at Mars Investigations full time. "And then the big reveal [in the eventual series finale] is that Veronica's the criminal; she killed everyone!"
