The album features a bunch of global artistes including Nigerians, but Shatta Wale is the only Ghanaian musician to be featured on.

The special feature, set for release tonight (8pm ET), also includes interviews with cast and crew of the movie.

Other top worldwide artistes who featured on the album include JAY-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, Pharrell and Beyoncé's daughter Blue Ivy Carter.

Other African acts on "The Lion King: The Gift" notably are Moonchild Sanelly, Busiswa, Salatiel and Shatta Wale often in collaboration with the other artists on the album.

Speaking to ABC Information, she said, 'This soundtrack is a love letter to Africa and I wish to ensure we discover the most effective expertise from Africa.

The album will be released on July 19, 2019 and it will feature Nigerian acts like Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Mr. Eazi, Tekno and Yemi Alade.

American superstar, Beyonce announced the release of her new album dubbed #LIONKING and she featured Shatta Wale on the tracklist. "I wanted it to be authentic to what is handsome about the music in Africa", she told Robin Roberts. The album is titled The Lion King: The Gift.
