Winger Sane has been strongly linked with a move to German champions Bayern and found himself frozen out at times last season.

"By becoming a central hub for Manchester City content, as with so many of our media initiatives in recent years, we want Man City for TV to push the boundaries in technology and sports consumption and provide an immersive entertainment experience for our loyal fanbase, wherever they are".

"We will choose the team captain".

Former Bayern boss Guardiola gave mixed messages about the future of the 23-year-old following the pre-season win over the Hammers. Tough couple of days, the travel wasn't the best, the travel we did was not ideal.

"We know his potential, we know his level, he's an incredible player".

"It's good for set-pieces, but that's not why we bought him".

'He knows, they all know that it's hard because of the quality we have, ' Guardiola added. He has a special quality hard to find around the world.

Two composed finishes from Sterling in the space of 13 second-half minutes completed the scoring and booked City's place alongside Wolves, 4-0 victors over Newcastle United, in Saturday's final of the Premier League Asia Trophy. "There's a good relationship between Bayern Munich's board and Pep Guardiola and I think they will find a way".

Guardiola was unwilling to speak about one of the other stories of the summer involving City, and their apparent interest in Leicester defender Harry Maguire.

City's domestic treble last season established them as the most formidable team in the country, but the title was won by just a single point ahead of Liverpool, and when the two sides went head-to-head in the Champions League two seasons ago, Liverpool triumphed in emphatic fashion.
