Assassin's Creed Odyssey's Final Atlantis DLC Gets a Gameplay Preview

Released during E3 2019, the game's Story Creator tool lets players make their own missions and share them online.

Ubisoft has had to crack down because too many people are using Story Creator Mode to craft repetitive questlines that farm huge chunks of XP.

Some fans are unhappy at the statement and incoming changes, however, suggesting Ubisoft may have taken issue with the quests not because they jeopardise the game's quality, but instead fear the farming quests may be something of a competitor for its own monetised XP bundles.

According to Ubisoft, the exploits are putting to risk the overall quality, integrity, and goal of Story Creator Mode.

Now, existing XP farming quests won't appear in any of the automatic recommendation lists such as the Hall of Fame or Trending and any quests which are reported for farming will be hidden. So, naturally, people started creating quests that were basically XP farming tools. It also says it will be implementing "further solutions" in the future with other title updates.

Fate of Atlantis embraced more of the fantastical side of the Assassin's Creed lore, with gamers delving deeper into Greek mythology, with this third chapter giving you the power to rule over the legendary city itself.

Ubisoft says it wants to "focus on rewarding creativity by highlighting quality quests" and in order to do that, the Story Creator terms & conditions will be changed to ban quests designed for quick XP farming.

A better question might be this: how will Ubisoft's decision affect the game itself?

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is actually on sale for just £14.99 at the moment for Prime subscribers. It does, after all, allow players to purchase an XP Boost for about $10.
