There is a moment when the boss or the parent or chaperones realize, "We're in charge!"

House Democrats attacked the chief of staff for Rep.

But for Democrats like Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash, a co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, Ocasio-Cortez's accusation that Pelosi works to "diminish progressive power" in the caucus struck a chord for her. Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Rashida Tlaib of MI - appeared to reach a boiling point in recent days after the speaker criticized the the congresswomen for their decision vote against a bill to send $4.5 billion in emergency aid to the nation's southern border.

Last month, Saikat Chakrabarti, co-founder of Justice Democrats and current chief of staff for Ocasio-Cortez, called out the Blue Dog Democrats on Twitter for what he alleged as racism.

The escalating tension between Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the liberal wing of the Democratic Party took a dramatic turn this week; with Rep. Ocasio-Cortez accusing the leader of "singling out women of color".

The four have been tormenting not only Pelosi but also moderate members who, for example, made a decision to at least fund the facilities where Border Control has almost run out of money and to fight about standards for children's care later rather than let the money for housing and care of children and families run out.

"I think the point still stands".

Meanwhile, Ocasio-Cortez has feuded with Pelosi, who dismissed the congresswoman and her allies. She didn't directly side with the moderates. Which is maybe why those "Friends" of hers - you know, her own party - think she's a fraud. "I addressed that. How they're interpreting and carrying it to another place is up to them, but I'm not going to be discussing it any further". Pressley said one woman she met feared for her health because her seizure medication had been confiscated. "It shows they have no sensibility to different members from our caucus".

The tweet was "insulting" and "a big issue", he added.

At a Wednesday evening meeting in Pelosi's office, Democratic Representative Derek Kilmer of Washington, chairman of the New Democratic Coalition, told Pelosi in stark terms that moderates were irate about Chakrabarti's tweet - specifically citing Representative Terri Sewell, Democrat of Alabama, a New Democrats cochair who is one of several moderate African-Americans representing a southern district.

Ocasio-Cortez said the crisis at the U.S. -Mexico border is "manufactured" because border officials are separating children from their families unnecessarily.

The California Democrat later said of Trump: "I'm done with him". A spokesman for Ocasio-Cortez did not immediately respond to a request for comment Thursday on the criticism of Chakrabarti. "For them to call her a racist is a disgrace".

The only way backbenchers gain power is by intimidating those who actually have power.

Said House majority leader Steny Hoyer, Democrat of Maryland, "I think all staffers ought to allow their members to speak".

"Frankly, what it will prevent is what this president promised to the American people not to do - to get into another endless, costly war in the Middle East", he said on the House floor.

The Justice Democrats have endorsed a progressive primary challenger against Clay and other centrist Democrats. "I hope you'll join us". Diversity is our strength. "And he cannot only win his primary, but he can win in a red-to-blue district on a progressive vision".
