Oliver Jackson Cohen to Star as The Invisible Man for Blumhouse & Universal

Oliver-Jackson Cohen, who starred in the hit Netflix series The Haunting of Hill House, has been cast in the title role of Blumhouse Productions and writer/director Leigh Whannell's remake of the classic Universal monster tale.

The cast for The Invisible Man also includes Elisabeth Moss, Aldis Hodge, Harriet Dyer, and Storm Reid. His previous works include the TV shows Dracula, Emerald City, and The Man In The Orange Shirt. Feature credits are Paco Arango's The Healer, James McTeigue's The Raven with John Cusack and Luke Evans, and What's Your Number? opposite Anna Faris and Chris Evans, Faster alongside Dwayne Johnson and Billy Bob Thornton, and Newline's Going the Distance with Drew Barrymore and Justin Long.

The story of The Invisible Man centers around a woman named Cecilia, who learns her abusive ex-boyfriend committed suicide. Universal is now working on the films individually, with The Invisible Man leading the charge. Although plot details haven't been confirmed yet, the story will reportedly follow a woman named Cecilia (Moss) who is rebuilding her life after her abusive ex-boyfriend commits suicide... but after odd things begin to happen around her, she starts to wonder if her boyfriend is truly gone. "I don't even know what I'm allowed to say about it!" The Blumhouse-Universal Pictures project will be written, directed and executive produced by Leigh Whannell, reported Variety. The Invisible Man is set to go into production this month, so casting decisions were expected very soon, but Deadline reports the choice has been made.
