The Internet has stirred up the video about how this boy licks tongue depressor at the doctor's office, and then puts it back in the Cup with other depressants, writes Fox News. She informed the station that she later removed the tongue depressor and others surrounding the contaminated depressor.

Ward is being charged with a felony for tampering with a consumer product without regard for possible death or bodily injury, jail records indicate.

"What people don't know is I am not a bad mother, I am also not a nasty person", the post reads.

"I just care about my kids and how this is going to affect them", she told the broadcaster.

The mother of the girl said she started getting death threats. "Our internal investigation did not reveal any associated risks or harms to patients as a result of these actions", - said in the hospital.

In an attempt to defend herself, Ward took to Facebook to make a statement about the video, but because of public outrage and backlash on social media, Ward's explanation and entire Facebook account has apparently been deleted, WLTV reports.

The girl, whose face is blurred out in a video taken of the initial Snapchat clip and shared with First Coast News, has an accomplice who points to a sign that says "Please do not touch medical supplies!"

On Wednesday, Ward told WJAX she understood why people were upset by her video and apologized.

"It was a joke with no criminal intent or activity ... but I was locked up with murderers and real criminals on maxim security", said Martin in an interview with the news outlet, which showed him smiling and holding the ice cream.

"This type of behavior is not tolerated at All About Kids and Families Medical Center", the statement added.

Another hand is then seen removing one depressor from the container.

The incident comes amid a rash of similar cases that have gone viral on social media.

The video shows the man, identified in news reports as Lenise Martin III, licking the ice cream at a supermarket in Louisiana.
