The company says there have been no related injuries or illnesses have been reported. Those pieces could pose a choking hazard. This segment offers its products primarily under the Nature's Own, Dave's Killer Bread, Tastykake, Wonder, and Cobblestone Bread Company brand names.

The buns, various in names, were distributed to retailers in 18 different states.

About 75 lots are affected and specific lot numbers for each recalled product can viewed on the FDA website.

The products being recalled were distributed to retail customers under a variety of brand names and distributed in OH and seventeen other states.

They were sold at stores including Aldi, Dollar General, Sam's Club, Target, and Walmart. The recalled buns should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Anyone with questions have been asked to contact Flowers Foods' Consumer Relations Center at (866) 245-8921 during business hours. Flowers Foods had a return on equity of 15.85% and a net margin of 4.28%.

This is the latest in a series of recalls of food products due to plastic contamination.

The recalled buns may have small pieces of hard plastic in them that occurred during the production process.
