It's a special event for Kate, who first made her debut at the historic service in 2008 - three years before she married into the British royal family.

The Queen is expected to be joined by the Prince of Wales, Duke of Cambridge and other senior royals in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle for the service.

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, was seen taking centre stage in Order of the Garter pictures with Kate Middleton, Queen Letizia of Spain and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands.

It was also the year William was invested into The Order of the Garter, Britain's oldest and most senior Order of Chivalry, becoming a knight.

Kate looked typically stylish in a Catherine Walker coat teamed with a black hat, clutch bag and heels.

They accompanied King Felipe of Spain and King-Willem-Alexander of the the Netherlands who were appointed Knights of the Garter by the Queen.

The Queen, who arrived by state limousine, is sovereign of the order and appoints new Knights of the Garter without consulting ministers.

Recipients of the honour are chosen because they have held public office, contributed to national life or served the sovereign personally.

In a new study by Lyst - the Global fashion search platform - we now know that her most talked-about fashion moment for 2019 is the look she rocked back in March - when she wore a red Catherine Walker coat for the Commonwealth Day services at Westminster Abbey.

Wearing the lavish velvet robes, glistening insignia and plumed hats of the Order of the Garter, the Queen and the royal knights processed through the grounds of Windsor Castle.
