Donald Trump: The New 'Jackie O' Is 'Melania T'

Donald Trump compared first lady Melania Trump to the late Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis on Friday, saying she should have the nickname "Melania T" to reflect her similarities with 'Jackie O'.

His comparison to the former first lady came during a discussion of his decision to give Air Force One a new paint job, which he unveiled Thursday. He added, "It was Jackie O and that was good, but we have our own Jackie O. It's called 'Melania".

"I like the concept of red, white and blue", Trump said during the Fox and Friends interview. Donald Trump thinks that just having people call her "Melania T", it makes her the new Jackie O, and I have never wanted to throw my electronics out a window faster in my entire life.

The plane's traditional look was designed by President John F. Kennedy and first lady Jackie in the early 1960s, but Trump has said he wants a color scheme that "looks more American" and isn't a "Jackie Kennedy color", reports Axios.

"People love [Melania Trump]", the president continued. 'People love her. She gets no credit from the media but she gets credit from the people'. While some agreed that both women are stylish and handsome, others were incensed at the comparison. She was an incredible First Lady & an even more marvelous woman.

However, as far as he's concerned, that era is all in the past and it should be Melania's time to shine instead now! Some noted that Jackie Kennedy only became "Jackie O" after Kennedy was assassinated and she got remarried to Aristotle Onassis, a Greek shipping magnate, others portrayed Melania in derisive terms.

It's pretty clear that the presidential couple is fond of Jackie O., especially Melania, who's channeled her iconic style in the past.
