Assassin's Creed Odyssey, the most recent game in the long-running series, is getting a story creator mode. It sounds like it will be open world, as you explore it and tackle trials, dungeons and perform heroic feats.

There's quite a bit to this, so have a read of the FAQ for a full rundown on the Assassin's Creed Odyssey story creator.

In Assassin's Creed Odyssey, the action takes place in Ancient Greece, a world rich with myths and legend, in fifth century BC during the Peloponnesian War between Sparta and Athens.

While Roller Champions has built up some early buzz, easily the most interesting reveal was the short but sweet Gods and Monsters trailer. Prove your legendary heroism by taking on their leader, Typhon, the deadliest monster in Greek mythology, in a face-off for the ages.

The story creator mode lets you use characters from the main game and set conditions for mission completion. He said that after working on Assassin's Creed Odyssey for the past four years, the team couldn't stop thinking about mythological creatures and their iconic stories.

An accompanying trailer for the game did not provide much detail, but left a tingling sense of adventure.

During E3 2019 Ubisoft presented Gods & Monsters, its new intellectual property that already has a fixed release date.

According to Ubisoft, players will be able to use a toolset based on the vanilla games settings.

It will be released for Switch, PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Stadia. Assassin's Creed, The Gods & Monsters logo, Ubisoft, and the Ubisoft logo are registered or unregistered trademarks of Ubisoft Entertainment in the United States and/or other countries.
