Trials of Mana

The game was announced at today's Nintendo Direct, but it's not just coming to console - you'll also be able to play on PC via Steam.

Twenty-four years after its release, Seiken Densetsu 3 is coming to the US for the first time, as part of a new Switch package called the Collection of Mana. Trials of Mana is due for launch in early 2020.

At the beginning of the game, you'll assemble a party of three members out of six possible characters - a choice that changes the course of the game's narrative.

Seiken Densetsu 3 (SFC) - which has never been officially localized until now as Trials of Mana.

Trials of Mana is a full high definition remake of the third entry in the Mana series, previously exclusively released in Japan in 1995 as Seiken Densetsu 3.

The new version of Trials of Mana takes the original Super Nintendo - or rather, Super Famicom - game, and modernises it with 3D visuals, and updated levelling and skill systems.

SQUARE ENIX also revealed that Collection of Mana™ is now available via digital download from the Nintendo eShop.

The newly localized version is being dubbed Trials of Mana, and will come packaged with both the Game Boy's Final Fantasy Adventure (the first Seiken Densetsu game) and Super Nintendo's Secret of Mana (its sequel).

The Mana series tells the story of the great Mana Tree and noble heroes' efforts to protect and restore it. Secret of Mana was notable for allowing players to bring up to two of their friends to play with them, which has been confirmed to be an option available in the Collection of Mana.
