The new Redmi Note 7S will be officially replacing the Redmi Note 7 at least in the Indian market. Now, the company has confirmed that the Redmi Note 7 will be phased out once the stocked are cleared.

The move makes sense considering that both devices come with similar specifications, excluding the rear camera setup.

As far as the pricing is concerned, the Redmi Note 7S costs INR1,000 ($14) more than the Redmi Note 7 which is priced at INR9,999 ($143) for the 3GB/32GB model, and INR11,999 ($172) for the 4GB/64GB variant. Furthermore, in response to a tweet, Anuj Sharma, head of Marketing - Xiaomi India, asserted that "more connected with lifecycle volumes than time". Just Rs. 1,000 apart, the Note 7S sits right between the Rs. 9,999 Redmi Note 7 and the Rs. 11,999 Redmi Note 7 Pro. The latest Redmi device comes with a wallet-friendly price of Rs 10,999. The 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 resolution) drop notch display, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S offers the best camera specifications between the three budget phones. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, clocking up to 2.2GHz and an Adreno 512 GPU takes care of the graphics. It comes with 13-megapixel, 5-megapixel and 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens sensors.
