Honor 20 Pro, Honor 20 to launch today: Here’s how to watch the live stream

This wide-angle sensor is coupled with a 8MP telephoto camera, a 16MP ultra-wide angle (capable of shooting pictures with a 117-degree field-of-view) and finally, a dedicated 2MP macro camera to improve any close-up shots of pets or nature.

Most notably, the aperture size of the Honor 20 Pro's main module is f/1.4 which makes it larger than most of its competitors. Nevertheless, Honor already confirmed that it is launching its Honor 20 series in the Indian market on June 11. Both phones run a new version of Magic UI out of the box with 43% faster tap response and a 57% improvement in UI operation.

There was one more phone announced, the Honor 20 Lite, featuring a 32MP front-facing camera in its U-shaped notch, a 6.21-in HD+ display with a drop-shaped notch, a Kirin 710 processor, a triple-camera setup made up of a 24 MP, 8 MP and 2 MP sensors, and a 4,000mAH battery.

The new Honor 20 series comes with a refreshed design, upgraded specifications and features. While the Honor 20 comes with a standard f/1.8 lens brightness, the Honor 20 Pro employs a record for a phone f/1.4 aperture that is supposed to let much more light in and improve night time photography.

The phone was launched about a month ago in Russian Federation but this is the first time we get to see it in person, and it will finally reach the rest of the European market. It seems like it takes less space than the current implementation of the punch-hole on the Honor 20, 20 Pro and the View 20.

That balance - features fighting for budget, and judged by how well they're received by users - epitomizes the Honor strategy.

For selfies, the Honor 20 flaunts a 32-megapixel sensor at the front with an f/2.0 lens and 3D Portrait Lighting support.

Huawei's Honor brand is launching a pair of smartphones with cutting-edge specs for less than $1,000, but good luck on finding them in the US.

The Honor 20 Pro (8GB RAM and 256GB storage) is priced at 599 euros (S$921), while the Honor 20 (6GB RAM and 128GB storage) is priced at 499 euros (S$767).

The Honor 20 Pro also supports up to 5x hybrid zoom, which uses the other cameras to fill in details beyond the optical zoom, and up to 30x digital zoom. This is claimed to deliver 50 percent of charge in 30 minutes. The smartphones are equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, which the brand claims unlock the phone in just 0.3 seconds. What you don't get, though, is wireless charging. There's no 3.5mm headphone jack, though.

Huawei has said that it will continue to provide security updates and after-sales services to its existing smartphones and tablets, but it is not clear if its smartphones would receive Android Q updates later this year.

In the United Kingdom, the Honor 20 in the 6GB/128GB setup will start at 400 pounds (~$509).

The biggest difference between the two models are the camera sets. You do, at least, get Bluetooth 5.0 and WiFi 802.11ac. The HONOR 20 Pro has it outside of the bump, while the HONOR 20 has it in.

Aside from the cameras, the Honor 20 Pro packs a large 4000mAh battery behind its 6.26-inch screen. The phone packs a 3,400mAh battery. The Honor 20 has the same 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor, but with an f/1.8 aperture lens and no optical image stabilization.
