She picked up the boy and briskly walked towards the exit but was stopped in the auto park by witnesses who were alerted to the situation.

A woman attempted to kidnap a 4-year-old boy in South Los Angeles today, the second such attempt by the suspect in as many days, police said.

Maralyn Ramos, 33, was arrested Wednesday night in downtown Los Angeles.

A child can be seen standing in the upper left corner of McDonald's surveillance footage.

According to police, the first incident took place on a Tuesday afternoon in May after the woman approached a 4-year-old child inside a McDonald's and tried to walk off with him.

Ramos was stopped before she could get into a vehicle and let go of the child, the news release stated.

"The suspect went ahead and grabbed the little child's hand and tried to take him with her", said Officer Mike Lopez, KCBS reported.

She is being held on $100,000 bail.

The suspect is described as Hispanic or black, 25-30 years old, about 5 feet 4 inches tall and around 115 pounds.

The Los Angeles Police Department, who were called shortly after, are now appealing for anyone with information about the attempted abduction.

Police at the time were reportedly also looking into whether she was behind a similar abduction attempt from Wednesday morning.

They said the boy was walking alongside a family member when the woman tried to take him, but was stopped by a witness, and ran off.
