Report De Marcus Cousins on track to return in West Finals

Although there's no firm date on his return yet, center DeMarcus Cousins is "on course" to return to the Warriors in their next series.

An early return for cousins would provide a big boost for the Warriors, who are still sweating on the health of Kevin Durant, who suffered a right calf strain in Game 5, with a timeline for his return still unclear.

"For me, my goal is I ain't planning on sitting", Cousins told The Undefeated on Monday. The timing of it really (messed) me up the most. But for me, that is not what I'm planning on doing.

On his run of injury misfortune, Cousins added: " It's definitely some type of bad movie. "Just wait for it".

"Talking to the doctors helped me understand the injury a little more".

"Obviously, I was (a) little more relieved that it wasn't anything catastrophic like I've dealt with before". It's a part of this game, man. "I won't be the last".

Cousins has been sidelined since April 15 after suffering a torn quad in Game 2 of their first-round series against the Los Angeles Clippers, with initial reports suggesting he would be sidelined for the entirety of the playoffs.

Although he only scored 11 points on 13 shots in 25 minutes during the first round, Cousins averaged 16.3 points per game during the regular season and has the ability to stretch the floor as a 3-point threat.

Coach Steve Kerr has been hopeful Cousins could return if the team makes another deep playoff run, which it is poised to do.
