It's nearly impossible to forget about celebrity engagements (see: Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez), but considering the low profile Jennifer Lawrence and fiancé Cooke Maroney tend to keep, we nearly forget about theirs.

Jennifer Lawrence proved she will make the most lovely bride as she celebrated her engagement to Cooke Maroney at the weekend.

Another source told the publication: 'He's a great guy. Makeup artist and close friend of Jennifer's, Fulvia Farolfi, took to Instagram to share a gorgeous candid click of Lawrence as she was the center of attention at the engagement bash.

"Here she comes! We couldn't be more excited for Jennifer Lawrence to become a Mrs... this weekend we toasted Jen and her groom to be... too good of a time was had by all", the photo was captioned.

Though some of us got a glimpse into Lawrence and Maroney's ultra-private engagement party held in New York City on May 11 from paparazzi and friends posting photos from the night, it still remained out of the public eye.

A source recently claimed the couple's nuptials will be a "family affair". Making it the ideal dress for brides-to-be who want to channel J. Law's elegant style down the aisle or to their own glam "engagement". Cooke in Vermont and Jennifer in Kentucky and then left and built successful careers.

A representative for Jennifer confirmed the pair's plans to Wednesday shortly after the 28-year-old was spotted sporting a large diamond on her left ring finger as she and her beau celebrated over dinner at top Manhattan restaurant Raoul's.

"Jennifer and Cooke's romance is a bit like a fairy tale", a source told ET after their engagement.

Apparently it was a case of love at first sight - and now we're ready for a Hollywood wedding! They got engaged because they both just knew it was right.
