Real Madrid boss Zidane: Barcelona UCL exit doesn't change our season

Keylor Navas has reportedly been informed that he is surplus to requirements at Real Madrid and that he will be allowed to leave the Bernabéu this summer after five seasons at the club.

Zidane remained tight-lipped about the prospect of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba joining the club this summer.

Responding to a question regarding the reported comments made by Bale's agent, Zidane told a press conference: "I don't want to answer that because I'm the Real Madrid coach and he's just doing his job. We've had a good week of preparations and what I'm concerned about is that we have a good game to be involved in".

Asked if Bale was focused on Real Madrid last month, Zidane said: "I don't know, you will have to ask him". I can only hope that he keeps playing for Real Madrid.

Zidane, who expects to have Karim Benzema available after injury, also appeared to take a swipe at rivals Barcelona after their midweek Champions League capitulation to Liverpool.

It has been a season to forget for the Spanish giants, who were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League and Copa del Frey early, while third position is where they will finish in LaLiga. Now we have another game and then we will see next year. It's a competition where anything can happen.

Madrid have endured a bad 2018-19 campaign and they will fail to win the league or the Champions League for the first time in four years. Zidane had positive words to say about players like Isco and Marcelo.

Fox Sports reports that Zidane believes the Gabonese worldwide would be a flawless signing for Real Madrid since the club doesn't want to spend up to 100 million euros to sign Bale's replacement at Santiago Bernabeu. "We will see what we are going to do next year, but at the moment he has had minutes and he has done well".
