Dark Phoenix Trailer Features Wolverine

Dark Phoenix sees regular X-Men movie writer (and now director) Simon Kinberg looking to give the Dark Phoenix storyline its proper due, and a whole film in which to show how Jean's (Sophie Turner) powers are affected by a cosmic accident. All this marketing makes it seem like Dark Phoenix is the big grand finale ala Endgame, but we'll see how it all plays out (and they already did Dark Phoenix once before in X-Men: The Last Stand).

Dark Phoenix may mark the end of an era when it comes to Fox's X-Men features, but the legacy of the storied Marvel Comics franchise will endure. The cast of this X-Men includes Sophie Turner, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Evan Peters, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Alexandra Shipp, along with Jessica Chastain, Ato Essandoh, and Scott Shepherd.

With every new video and clip, it's just becoming more and more clear that Dark Phoenix is going to be the farewell for the X-Men movie franchise.

Dark Phoenix is expected to bring the past 20 years of X-Men movies to a close, CNET sister site ComicBook.com notes.

It's hard to believe, but Dark Phoenix is nearly here. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the future of the X-Men.
