Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 4 "The Last of the Starks" may have been the last time we see some of the show's important characters, including Tormund Giantsbane, Samwell Tarly, and Gilly.

After hawk-eyed viewers spotted an out-of-place coffee cup in Monday's episode of Game of Thrones, the show's creators quietly digitally removed the anachronism.

Yet another tweeted a redrawn logo of the U.S. coffee chain with the title changed to "Winterfell coffee" and the wolf's head sigil of the Starks, one of the noble families at the centre of the series. A flurry of upset overtook the internet following the interaction with people wondering why Jon would treat the animal so coldly, but there is an explanation.

A little show called Game of Thrones is now in the midst of its eighth and final season, and it is very popular. When the moment arrived for the rightful king of the Seven Kingdoms to part from his old companion Ghost, however, Snow nearly disregarded it. Fans' reactions on social networks were overwhelmingly unhappy.

Talking tothe Huffington Post, director David Nutter explained, "Since the direwolves are kind of CG creations, we felt it best to keep it as simple as possible..." "And I think that it played out much more powerfully that way".

"Keeping Ghost off to the side, I thought that played out better", continued Nutter.

Although Jon and the glorious wolf spent many years together, they parted ways in the most unemotional way, leaving fans confused and enraged.

Another image showed Jon Snow and Lord Varys (Conleth Hill) arriving on the beaches of Dragonstone, presumably after the Battle of Winterfell.

In episode four of season eight, Jon Snow is seen making a series of emotional goodbyes before he heads to King's Landing to fight alongside Daenerys, bidding farewell to some old friends.

While a third shared: "I hope Cersei wins now that Jon Snow can't even say goodbye and pet Ghost". And we've also included a screenshot taken with HBO Go from the scene in question around the 17:40 mark as of today at the top of the post.
