And on a related note, this may also mean DMC protagonist Dante may make his way into Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. either as a DLC for Super Smash Bros.

Capcom is bringing the original Devil May Cry to Switch this summer, the company announced.

The Devil May Cry HD Collection launched on PC, PS4, and Xbox One in March 2018, but it seems that it'll just be the first game making its way onto the console.

Not much more has been revealed, though it's a bit weird to not include Devil May Cry 2 and 3 as they have been traditionally sold together as a package since 2012.

So, there you have it folks - Devil May Cry will be a digital-only release on the Switch.

It does seem like a unusual announcement considering there have already been remastered trilogy collections available on platforms such as the PS3, PS4 and Xbox 360, so why that collection isn't getting ported over at least yet is a tad odd. He's now heading his own branch of the demon-hunting business Devil May Cry.

While no specifics were mentioned, the live stream will feature producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and executive director/art director Kaname Fujioka, so we know it'll likely have a lot of info, and perhaps some details on the upcoming Iceborn expansion which releases this fall.
