City vs Liverpool: Five things you need to know...

After 37 Premier League games, the clock is ticking on Liverpool's title bid.

Newcastle fans will be heading to their second home for the final time this season hoping their side can put on a good performance, and maybe even upset the applecart, against a side who cost them their own tilt at the Premier League in years gone by.

The Egyptian forward suffered an apparent head injury during the unsafe collision, which occurred at the 68-minute mark, that left him lying on the turf for several minutes as Liverpool's medical staff attended to him.

After the match, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said: "He got hit off the goalie's hip on his head and we had to make a decision, on or off the pitch, but he was sitting watching the game in the dressing room". But in the end we showed our fighting spirit and we got the three points. "But we have to wait".

The former Barcelona boss insists that Klopp's Liverpool side are the toughest opposition he has faced in any title race, including battles he had in La Liga and in the Bundesliga for Bayern Munich.

But they are hardly limping to the finishing line.

Salah had earlier scored in the match, and was replaced by Divock Origi, who in turned scored the game-winner.

They have also only conceded 20 goals.

The Spaniard was speaking to Sky Sports News this week, when he made the above observations.

Goals from Luis Suárez and two from Lionel Messi proved to be the difference at the Camp Nou, although Barcelona proved last season that a comfortable win at home in the first leg isn't always enough to progress. They may yet start the final day on top, if Leicester can avoid defeat at the Etihad, but no matter how it all plays out, nobody can suggest that Klopp and his players have lost their nerve in the final straight. "We can not do more".
