Asus Zenfone 6 teaser points to a truly all-screen design

Asus has scheduled a launch event in Valencia, Spain on 16th May. The ASUS Zenfone 6 will probably be made out of metal and glass, though we're only guessing here, based on other flagship offerings in the market.

All that said, we wouldn't take this teaser as confirmation that there really are no bezels on the Asus Zenfone 6, as it's not unheard of for smartphone teasers to hint at more than is ultimately offered. Now, ASUS has started teasing its upcoming smartphone on social media. The teaser's "Defy Ordinary" tagline also suggests a new design.

The power button and the volume rocker keys can clearly be seen in the Zenfone 6 teaser, and are placed on the right edge of the frame. Many smartphone manufacturers are now adopting the pop-up camera design after Vivo NEX became the first to do so. As per the certification, the Asus Zenfone 6 will come with a dual rear camera setup and it is expected to sport a main sensor of 48MP. A few renders recently emerged on the Web that showed off a dual-slider design of the ZenFone 6 with dual front and back cameras. Based on the AnTuTu leak, the smartphone will be featuring a Full HD+ display and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor. The ZenFone 6 will run on the latest Android 9 Pie out of the box.

There could also be a higher-end variant of the ZenFone 6 dubbed as the ZenFone 6Z. The vertically-aligned triple-camera setup will be situated at the top-left corner of the device.

We will have to wait till ASUS officially launches the device on May 16th.
