In her court filing, Heard claimed Depp repeatedly hit her, ripped out her hair and choked her.

Johnny Depp's team has quickly hit back at Amber Heard's new legal filing - and they're calling his ex-wife's incredibly detailed and specific allegations of abuse "new lies". "Since their divorce, Mr. Depp has continued to publically harass Ms".

Earlier this year, the Pirates of Caribbean actor filed a US$50-million defamation lawsuit against ex-wife, who was married to Depp for 15 months before she filed for divorce in May 2016, after she described herself as a domestic violence victim for a piece for The Washington Post. On some occasions, when Johnny simultaneously used both illegal narcotics and prescription medications I have had to get him medical attention.

"Whenever he was using, I anxious for both of us. He would become a totally different person, often delusional and violent", Heard states, saying she and Depp referred to "that version of Johnny" as "The Monster".

Heard claims Depp threw a phone at her face which hit her in the eye.

Depp's lawyer said in a statement to E! Of course, I am sorry. I know what that does to people. "I have spoken out about violence in public, but I have always avoided specifically referencing Johnny, or recounting his violence against me, not only because I wanted to move past that phase of my life but also because I was constrained by the terms of a strict confidentiality agreement that Johnny had insisted upon as part of our divorce settlement".

Depp apologized to her via text message the following day, she said. They, however, tied the knot in February 2015.

He even dragged her to a bed and started punching her head.

Depp allegedly became violent again during an August 2015 trip to Thailand and Malaysia.

"Many at Warner Bros. wish that Rowling hadn't come out so strongly behind Depp, because having made her opinion so public boxes them into a corner", a source said.

"He was about to push my sister down the stairs", the actress emotionally explains, adding, "When he laid hands on her I don't know what I did, but I know I jumped in between the action that I saw could lead to a fatal accident with my sister". "Yesterday's filing, made by a woman with a prior arrest and incarceration for domestic abuse, presented Amber Heard's new lies".

New court documents detail years of Depp's alleged ruthlessness, which Heard says was mostly fueled by over consumption of alcohol and other substances. "Heard was previously arrested and incarcerated for assaulting", Waldman said in a statement.

Rowling broke her silence on the controversy surrounding Depp's casting as the villain Grindelwald when she wrote on her website in December 2017, "When Johnny Depp was cast as Grindelwald, I thought he'd be wonderful in the role".

Heard filed for a restraining order not long after the incident she described. "Heard demonstrated when she knowingly published the op-ed with the false implication that Mr. Depp violently abused her". Heard flew back to LA to stay in Mr. Depp's penthouse with Elon Musk.

Heard's personal account was graphic and painful to read - but, according to Depp's attorney, it was complete fiction.
