The Duchess of Cambridge is taking on new responsibilities as she prepares to one day become England's Queen consort.

Five-year-old George, whose blonde locks have gotten a little darker, shared a cute moment with his cousin, Mia Tindall, 5, on the fairgrounds of the Burnham Market global horse trials in Norfolk on Friday. In the photo, Princess Charlotte was wearing a blue knitted cardigan from Spanish brand Fina Ejerique that was a hand-me-down from her brother George. The mom of three looks strong in the photo since she's able to carry Princess Charlotte easily and still smile.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte are members of the British Royal Family, but they won't begin their royal duties for many years to come.

Before the mom and daughter duo are Prince William and Mia.

Young George was seen playing with a sword while Mia tumbled in the grass and played on the fairground in the images taken and released by the Mail on Sunday. The Duke of Cambridge did not also seem to mind since he has a cheeky smile on his face. Meanwhile, Kate carried Charlotte on her shoulders and George rode atop his uncle Mike Tindall. Almost four summers ago, they were the center of attention at a polo game at Beaufort Park club, in Gloucestershire, when George - clutching a toy tractor - and Mia were among cousins playing on a grassy bank. We haven't seen too much of the royal family since they sent out their Christmas card in December 2018. The former silver medal Olympian fell from her horse last year but she managed to rank third and fifth at her two events this year. There have been multiple reports that Queen Elizabeth II would like to ignore the line of succession and skip over Prince Charles to make Prince William her successor. "But they were all just messing about and playing and joking while their parents chatted", an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "There were no tantrums thrown by the kids and they all seemed very down to earth", the source said.
