Paul George is listed as day-to-day and is not certain he will be able to play in Game 1 on Sunday in Portland as he continues to deal with nagging shoulder soreness.

In the pregame warm-up, which determined his status for Game 1, George - wearing black kinesiology tape on his right shoulders - was splashing 3-pointers and mid-range shots.

Donovan said the way practice was structured Friday, not all players did on-court work. He averaged 26.1 points per game in his final 19 games, but did so on 39.7 percent shooting from the field and 33.8 percent from 3-point range. But Kanter, signed just before the All-Star break after being waived by the New York Knick, has proven ad admirable fill-in.

There was simmering tension between the teams.

The teams went back and forth in the third quarter - Portland pushing their lead back to double-digits, the Thunder responding with a charge to draw closer. Ferguson earned his third foul and headed to the bench. The Rockets would justifiably point out that their current rotation is far healthier and settled compared to those rocky opening weeks when Houston stumbled to an 11-14 start. "They won the first game", Westbrook said. The Trailblazers are 7-24-2 ATS in their last 33 Conference Quarterfinals games, 0-3-1 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 Tuesday games. "All right. Masters." The Blazers were 8-8 in the postseason against the SuperSonics.

Kanter said later that he realized that Adams was just locked in prior to the game starting after not acknowledging him.

Against his former team, the big man finished with 20 points (on 8-for-15 shooting) and 18 rebounds (seven offensive) in 34 minutes of action - a performance good for a team-high plus-15 in the box score. Bill Walton did it three times and LaMarcus Aldridge once.

While he played at an MVP level for most of the season, he struggled down the stretch, likely because of a shoulder injury that he has been dealing with since the end of February.

Game 1 is set for Sunday at 2:30 pm central time at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.
