Apple has just launched the second generation AirPods. Although the image was not displayed, it was available on Apple's servers and could be retrieved manually.

Apple isn't known for its costly acquisitions, generally focusing on buying small companies that can add valuable resources to new areas of development for the Cupertino-based tech giant without entailing a great risk from a return on investment standpoint.

There aren't any details on pricing yet, but it's worth pointing out that the 2nd-generation AirPods can cost as much as $199 if purchased with the wireless charging case, so we probably shouldn't expect these new PowerBeats to cost more than that. The older AirPods also support Siri but it requires a double tap action to activate.

The first gen Apple AirPods offers up to 5 hours of music playback which is similar to the new 2nd gen AirPods. Even the charging case carries the same look as the previous one.

Apple says switching between an iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, or Mac is two times faster with the new AirPods and connection time for phone calls is one-and-a-half times faster than first-generation Airpods.
