Disney Star Kyle Massey Sued for Allegedly Sending Sexually Explicit Material to a 13-Year-Old

Massey, best known for his role as Cory Baxter on That's So Raven, was sued on Friday by a 13-year-old girl for sending explicit matter to a minor, attempting to commit a lewd act with a minor, annoying or molesting a minor and emotional distress, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE. The former child star is now facing a lawsuit from a fan who says she first met him in 2009, when she was 4 years old.

As the girl got older, she became interested in pursuing an entertainment career, and hoped Kyle would help - and that's where things allegedly got very serious.

According to TMZ, former Disney Channel star Kyle Massey has been slapped with a lawsuit for sexual misconduct with a minor. He would often offer to help them and over time, they all came to be good friends, even stating in the court documents that Massey "held himself out as a father figure".

The lawsuit claims that as a result of Massey's conduct, the girl has suffered great pain of mind, body, shock, emotional distress, physical manifestations of emotional distress, embarrassment, loss of self-esteem, disgrace, humiliation and loss of enjoyment of life. They resumed speaking again in November 2018, and Kyle allegedly offered the teen stay with him and his girlfriend while he'd help the young girl find an agent for her acting career.

"The girl and her mom claim that following the invite in December, Massey began sending the girl "numerous sexually explicit text messages, images, and videos" including an image of Massey holding his penis with a corresponding text message that reads 'LOL/Just me messing with u LOL'".

The girl is suing for $1.5 million.
