A former contestant on "American Idol" and "Fear Factor" is accused of distributing heroin. Federal authorities charged her with one count of distribution and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and one count of conspiracy.

Barba was initially arrested in Norfolk last October for allegedly selling or intending to sell 100 grams or more of heroin.

The indictment alleges Barba, who now lives in Los Angeles, was one of several members of a drug conspiracy that was active in Hampton Roads between late 2017 and the fall of 2018.

Barba was reportedly arrested on Thursday according to the Norfolk Sheriff's Office. On another occasion, Stennett allegedly gave a fellow conspirator around 15 pounds of cocaine. Because of that, she was hit with a felony charge and is now being held without bail.

A New Jersey native, Barba was an American Idol hopeful in the same season that saw Jordin Sparks crowned the eventual victor.

She also has a felony marijuana case pending in Kansas.

Her film credits include being cast in the 2017 movie "All About the Money". She appeared this year on comedian Jimmy Kimmel's show for a segment featuring other Idol alums titled "Where Are They Now?"

Records cited by Fox also indicate Barba was arrested in New York City in 2011 for shoplifting.
