Report: Toronto Raptors to sign veteran point guard Jeremy Lin

Toronto Raptors forward Kawhi Leonard (2) reacts after sinking the game winning basket against Brooklyn Nets in the second half at Scotiabank Arena.

Lowry and Patrick McCaw each scored 13 for the Raptors, who have won 14-of-15 against Brooklyn.

Still, things haven't been quite as good for the Raptors of late as they were during their torrid start to the season, and at home on Monday they found themselves in a dog fight with the Nets - who seemingly are in a tight game every night.

The Raptors were looking for a third point guard after trading Delon Wright to the Memphis Grizzlies as part of the deal to acquire Marc Gasol last week.

But Crabbe later hit back-to-back 3-pointers to tie the game with 1:34 remaining at 120.

After Brooklyn pulled to within two, Toronto again opened a seven-point lead on Gasol's 20-footer with 6:49 left. Kawhi Leonard dribbled the clock down inside 10 seconds before he made his move, finding his favorite spot on the right elbow for a smooth bank shot to give Toronto a two-point lead. Before the game, the Raptors said VanVleet will miss at least three weeks because of a ligament inury in his left thumb.
