Crowd loses it as Michelle Obama takes over Grammys
One of the most powerful moments of the awards show happened when Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Michelle Obama and Jennifer Lopez spoke about the affect that music has had on their life.
Take a look through our gallery to see how you can get the look! "Music has always been the one place where we can all feel truly free". But with Lady Gaga, Shawn Mendes, Cardi B, and Travis Scott among the evening's performers, there won't be a shortage of star power. She was the most nominated woman at the Grammys, but twitter was still alight with people discovering the folk artist after watching her slay her performance during the show.
"They said, I was weird", began Gaga.
Obama is now touring to promote her memoir Becoming, which was released in the United States and in 28 languages around the world. "There's nothing better than this", Alicia said. No one knew what to expect from an Alicia Keys-hosted Grammys, but now we know.
Cardi B, who was to perform later on Sunday, could break that trend and take home not only her first Grammy, but potentially become the first rapper since 2004 to win the coveted album of the year award for her Invasion of Privacy. "Whether we like country or rap or rock, music helps us share ourselves, our dignity and sorrows, our hopes and joys", she said. "She corrected herself.but the damage was done", one viewer wrote.
