Buscemi and Andres were last seen on the red carpet together on July 18 when they stepped out at The Cinema Society screening of Puzzle.

Hollywood actor John Turturro, who featured alongside Buscemi in 1998's The Big Lebowski, was one of the mourners who visited the Boardwalk Empire star's house to pay his respects.

The couple have been married since 1987 and have a son together, 29-year-old Lucian.

According to RadarOnline, she passed away earlier this week.

Per the reports, about 20 people were at the very private service to memorialize Jo, including a few of Steve's past co-stars; afterwards, the FDNY blocked off the street as her casket was removed from the home and taken to her final resting place.

The publication added: 'The company that handled the funeral arrangements caters toward those looking for natural burial'. The actor had volunteered during 9/11.

Andres may not have helmed feature films but she still was known for her "film/dance/light" experimental performance art through the 80's. She was best known for her 1996 film Black Kites - which Lucian starred in.

Throughout the years, Jo worked as an artist, a choreographer, an editor, as well as a director.

Also, "Black Kites" is now on YouTube so that viewers can see her critically acclaimed work.

Steve once said he was his wife's biggest fan.

According to her website, 'Andres first became known on the kinetic downtown NY performance scene of the 1980s for her film/dance/light performances, shown at the reigning venues of the era, among them The Performing Garage, La Mama E.T.C., P.S. 122, St. Marks Danspace, and the Collective for Living Cinema'.

His next film is The Dead Don't Die.
