Two guns were found in a nearby bush and seized by police as part of their investigation.

A white BMW 3 series was also used by the raiders.

The trio were on their way to the south coast to see Liverpool's evening match with Brighton when they made a decision to stop at the Little Rock restaurant in Princess Road, Manchester.

The police later located the stolen Range Rover in Fallowfield.
