The Brazil global is only a year into his contract at the Camp Nou following his £142million move from Liverpool last January.

Barcelona midfielder, Philippe Coutinho has finally made a decision to stay at the Camp Nou amid interest from Manchester United. Gareth Bale and Philippe Coutinho have been linked for a move as well.

The 26-year-old joined the Catalans from Liverpool in January 2018 for a fee around £145 million but has failed to impress the coaches at Camp Nou.

Just three months ago, Philippe Coutinho and Isco were indispensable members of their respective teams Barcelona and Real Madrid. He has been warned he must knuckle down and fight for his place by boss Ernesto Valverde. MARCA reports he is at rock bottom due to the current situation.

It has also been reported that Manchester United will wait till the summer and only make a bid after the finalisation of a permanent manager at the club. The La Liga leaders are looking to cash in on to fund a move for Neymar. "It would be different if we hadn't believed in him [and let him leave] and now we wanted to bring him back, but that's not the case".

And Valverde has now called for the former Liverpool superstar to take heed from one of his teammates who's now kept him out the starting XI.

Hayward's report notes that Neymar is "open" to rejoining Barcelona, while a meeting is said to have been set up between Andre Cury, the top scout who helped mastermind the original move to Spain from Santos in 2013, and the player's entourage before Christmas.

United face having to pay close to the £142m for Coutinho, which would be a record for the Premier League.

"Would you go from Barcelona to Manchester United, the state that Man United is in at the moment?" So there seems no reason to buy an attacking player.
