As we all know Sonia Gandhi (here Suzanne Bernert) won the elections, but here we see how Dr. Manmohan Singh (here Anupam Kher) was chosen for the position of Prime Minister of India. Meeting his better half Sanjaya Baru (here Akshaye Khanna), who serves him as the media advisor, Dr. Singh gets into the terms of his position. The movie, for sure, isn't boring but at times gets complex for a layman.

The Delhi High Court Monday refused to restrain Google and YouTube from airing trailer of "The Accidental Prime Minister", saying that the issue relates to someone which involves "public interest" and not "personal interest".

"The Accidental Prime Minister", the movie based on former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, is set to hit the theaters on January 11 but prior to that, it has already created much buzz with several PILs being moved seeking a ban on even the trailer of the movie.

The soon to release Anupam Kher starrer The Accidental Prime Minister seems to be constantly heading into troubled waters. The movie also features Suzanne Bernert, Aahana Kumra, and Arjun Mathur.

He also claimed that the film projects the country and a host of its political leaders, ranging from Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad and Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and his deputy Lal Krishna Advani, in a very poor light.
