One day after life returned to normal for William Nylander as he returned to the ice for the Toronto Maple Leafs, he appears to have gotten in a vehicle accident.

It's unclear which player was behind the wheel at the time of the incident, which the official said didn't result in any injuries. The team will head to Boston to face the Bruins on Saturday.

Nylander, who was selected eighth overall by the Leafs in the 2014 draft, had to sign a contract by Saturday's deadline in order to be eligible to play in the National Hockey League this season.

News of the crash comes less than a week after Nylander, 22, signed a six-year deal with the Leafs on Saturday. Nylander was held off the scoresheet against Detroit, but is coming off consecutive 61-point campaigns.
