The final of the Women's World Cup will be held at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais on July 7.

A further breakdown of the Women's ranking revealed that the Thomas Dernnerby tutored-side had a total 1,607 points to emerge Africa's best team and 39th in the world.

South Africa qualified for their first tournament after reaching the final of the Africa Women's Cup of Nations, where they eventually lost to Nigeria.

Banyana entered the hat as one of three representatives from Africa.

The top 10 countries in Africa include Ghana (fourth), Cote D'Ivoire (fifth), Equatorial Guinea (sixth), Morocco (seventh), Algeria (eighth), Mali is ninth while Senegal is 10th.

Banyana will come up against World number 2 ranked Germany, Spain and China in their group, which is arguably the "group of death".

Defending champions the United States will take on Sweden, Thailand and Chile in Group F, and Jamaica - who are also debutants - will face Australia, Italy and Brazil in Group C.

There were no goals during regulation time as both teams matched each other strength for strength all through 120 minutes.

The group stage of the World Cup, which is being held in France next June, comprises six groups of four teams each.
